About Workshop

Dr. Pawluk will deliver this workshop that explains the aspects of Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMFs) and how they affect acupuncture and can be integrated into an acupuncture practice to improve the results and provide even more benefits to patients.

You will explore similarities of actions of PEMFs in acupuncture. Two esteemed acupuncturists have also been invited to share their experience and findings. This workshop should be exciting as there will be hands-on with PEMFs too.

It is a great opportunity to learn, network and grow by adopting pulsed electromagnetic fields which is one of the fastest growing and most successful technologies in the world of electrotherapy today and best of all, you will be guided by Dr. Pawluk himself!

Dr. Pawluk

William Pawluk, MD, MSc, is a previously American board-certified family physician with additional training in acupuncture, homeopathy, hypnosis, energy medicine, and bodywork. He has had academic faculty appointments at a number of universities including most recently Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland.

Dr. Pawluk is world-renowned and highly respected for his work with PEMFs. He has published several best-selling PEMF books and has been interviewed on TV and podcasts of top health and fitness professionals worldwide, based on in-depth research and professional experience with this technology.

​Donna is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and is a Board-Certified Diplomat in Acupuncture Orthopedics and Licensed in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She has been practicing in the Burbank area since 2000.

Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Dupre was a staff acupuncturist at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she treated cancer patients in collaboration with staff oncologists and radiologists.

Dr. Dupre continues to consult with respected researchers and practitioners in the fields of Eastern and Western medicine to make sure that her patients are always getting the most relevant and recent information pertaining to their conditions and overall wellness.

She is passionate about her work and believes a good clinician is always a student. She continues to educate herself in order to provide the best care possible to her patients.

Dr. Dupre graduated from SAMRA University in 2000 with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine, completed a year of study in Acupuncture Orthopedics at Lerner Education and became board-certified in 2002, and earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2007.

Riz Lakhani is a licensed acupuncturist practicing in Maryland since 2013, the year that he graduated from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute). Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, he worked in the private sector for large telecommunications companies. Despite being on the forefront of cutting edge technology, he felt compelled to make a career change to learn skills to help people in a more direct way. 

Riz became interested in PEMFs in his quest to blend technology and medicine. During his career, he has thus far participated in internships and certification programs related to Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Acupuncture, ElectroAcupuncture Medicine, PEMF Therapy, and the Acupuncture Technology Summit. In 2018 he added PEMF Therapy to the services offered in his private practice in the small town of Glenwood, MD. He enjoys being able to help people with a variety of issues and offering patients options for their treatment.

Riz is excited to help Dr. Pawluk educate other acupuncturists to PEMF Therapy, which he believes fits very synergistically with the work acupuncturists are trying to do with many of their patients.
